Vision: Project Showcase

Team & Registration

• Each team may consist of 1–5 members.
• Each project must have a unique project name and a registered team.
• A participant may participate in only one project unless otherwise permitted by the organizers.
• All team members must be present during the designated project evaluation/presentation period.

Project Requirements

• Projects may be based on technology, engineering, science, innovation, software, hardware, AI/ML, IoT, robotics, sustainability, or other approved domains.
• The project should demonstrate an original concept, meaningful implementation, or significant improvement over an existing solution.
• Participants must be able to explain the problem statement, proposed solution, working principle, implementation, and applications of their project.
• Projects should be functional or have a demonstrable prototype/model wherever reasonably possible.
• Participants must arrange their own required components, laptops, power supplies, and other equipment unless specifically provided by the organizers.

Presentation & Demonstration

• Each team will receive a fixed presentation and demonstration time, which will be announced before the event.
• Teams must complete their presentation within the allotted time.
• Judges may ask questions regarding the project's design, technology, implementation, cost, limitations, and future scope.
• Teams must provide a live demonstration where applicable.
• Failure to demonstrate a claimed feature may affect the evaluation.

Evaluation Criteria

Projects may be evaluated on:

• Innovation and originality
• Technical complexity
• Functionality and working
• Problem-solving approach
• Practical application
• Presentation and explanation
• Design and implementation
• Cost-effectiveness
• Future scalability
• Team's understanding of the project

The exact weightage of each criterion may be announced by the organizing committee/judges.

Originality & Plagiarism

• Participants must submit their own work or clearly acknowledge any external resources, libraries, datasets, references, or components used.
• Copying another team's project or falsely claiming someone else's work as their own may result in disqualification.
• Use of publicly available software, open-source hardware, or reference material is permitted where appropriately acknowledged.
• Judges may ask questions to verify the team's understanding and contribution.

Equipment & Venue

• Teams are responsible for bringing and safely operating their equipment.
• Participants must not damage college property, furniture, electrical systems, or other teams' projects.
• High-voltage, hazardous, flammable, or otherwise dangerous demonstrations require prior approval and may be prohibited.
• The organizers may refuse the use of equipment considered unsafe.

Judging & Results

• Judges' decisions regarding scoring and ranking shall be final, subject to the event's official grievance procedure.
• In case of a tie, the judges may conduct additional questioning, demonstrations, or a tie-breaker evaluation.
• The organizers may disqualify a project for plagiarism, unsafe practices, misrepresentation, misconduct, or violation of event rules.

Prize Clause

• The prize pool may be determined or revised based on the final number of valid participating teams.
• If participation is substantially lower than expected, the organizers reserve the right to reduce or restructure the prize amount.
• Any significant change to the prize structure will be communicated to participants.
• The organizers may withhold a prize if minimum participation requirements are not met or if no project satisfies the required judging standards.

Changes & Cancellation

The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the schedule, venue, evaluation format, or other arrangements due to technical, safety, institutional, or other reasonable circumstances. Participants will be informed of significant changes whenever practicable.

Final Clause

By registering for Project Showcasing, all participants acknowledge and agree to follow these rules, the instructions of the organizing committee, and the applicable rules of the college.
