All that you need to know about The People Matrix - HR Case Study Competition
People Matrix organized by Hridayam – the HR Club of the School of Business and Management, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Delhi NCR Campus, invites students to tackle a real-world HR and organizational challenge through strategic thinking, analysis, and practical problem-solving.
Participants will receive a case study 24 hours prior to the competition, develop their solution, and present their recommendations before a judging panel.
Competition Format
- The competition will consist of one case presentation round.
- The case study will be shared with registered teams one day prior to the competition.
- Teams will analyze the case, develop their recommendations, and present their solution before the judging panel.
- Teams will be shortlisted for the final stage based on the quality and effectiveness of their proposed solution.
Shortlisted teams will be informed prior to the final round.
- Each shortlisted team will get 7–8 minutes for the presentation, followed by 2 minutes of Q&A.
- Teams must strictly adhere to the allotted time.
- A surprise element will be introduced on the day of the competition, where teams may be presented with a short crisis or change in circumstances related to the case and asked to respond accordingly.
Eligibility & Team Composition
- Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from recognized colleges and universities.
- Students from all disciplines, departments, and specializations are eligible.
- Each team must consist of 1–3 members.
- Inter-college, inter-departmental, and cross-specialization teams are permitted.
- Each participant can be a member of only one team.
Rules & Guidelines
- The case study will be released 24 hours prior to the competition.
- Teams must present their solution within the allotted 7–8 minutes, followed by a 2-minute Q&A.
- Solutions should demonstrate originality, creativity, practicality, and financial feasibility.
- Teams must be able to justify and defend their recommendations during the Q&A.
- Any assumptions made should be clearly stated and logically justified.
- Plagiarism, fabrication of information, or any form of unfair practice will result in disqualification.
- The response to the surprise element must be original and developed by the team during the competition.
- Use of AI tools is strictly prohibited for the surprise element.
- Participants must follow all instructions and time limits communicated by the organizing committee.
- The decision of the judging panel and organizing committee shall be final and binding.
