Moneyball 2027 is a cricket-based strategic auction that tests sports knowledge, analysis, budgeting, and squad-building. Teams evaluate players, manage a fixed budget, and make decisions to assemble a competitive squad.
Opportunity Rounds
Online Sports Quiz
The preliminary quiz assesses participants' cricket and sports knowledge and determines which teams proceed to the on-campus rounds.
Round 2 – BidBlitz: Live Player Auction (Offline)
Teams take part in a live cricket player auction with a ₹100 crore budget. They must select exactly 11 players while meeting the prescribed Indian/foreign and player-category composition. Mystery-player selections add uncertainty to bidding strategy.
Round 3 – Player Trade (Offline)
After the auction, each team has one opportunity to trade a player with another team. The trade should improve squad balance or strategy, follow composition rules, and receive organiser approval.
