About the role
Overview
Green Pivot is a sustainable venture and crisis management challenge by Satat Prabandhan, the MBA club of TERI School of Advanced Studies, held as part of Aahwaan 2026. Teams build a regionally rooted sustainable venture, steer it through a surprise operational, ESG or supply chain crisis, and defend it in a boardroom-style pitch before a panel.
Theme:
The theme is open-ended. Each team chooses any one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and builds its venture around it. The chosen SDG must be named on the first slide of the Round 1 deck.
Round 1: The Innovation Pitch (Online):
-
Use a design thinking approach: identify a real pain point faced by local users, understand it from the users themselves, and design a sustainable product or service that solves it. -
Submit a two-slide executive deck: slide 1 on the user's pain point and chosen SDG, slide 2 on the solution. -
Submission deadline: Saturday, 14th November 2026 -
Shortlisted teams move to the on-campus rounds.
Round 2: Achanak, A Crisis (Offline, on campus) - 21st Nov : 10 am
-
Each team draws a random chit presenting a crisis affecting its venture. -
Teams get 30 to 60 minutes to adapt the original venture and prepare a three-slide mitigation deck.
Round 3: Boardroom Roast (Offline, on campus) - 21st Nov : 11 am
-
10 minutes to pitch the venture and its crisis mitigation plan. -
10 minutes of questions from a two-member panel acting as a corporate board or investment committee.
Judging Criteria:
-
Real user pain point: the problem must be a genuine pain faced by real users, backed by evidence such as user conversations, observations or field insight, not an assumed or generic issue -
Problem-solution fit: the venture must directly solve the pain point identified, with a clear link between what users struggle with and what the solution changes for them -
Strength of the SDG link and sustainability impact -
Financial viability of the venture -
Quality of crisis response and strategic thinking -
Presentation and handling of questions
