About DENT-INNOVATE 2026
DENT-INNOVATE 2026 is an interdisciplinary postgraduate e-poster competition spotlighting forward-thinking ideas that advance patient-centred care. The competition serves as a stage for postgraduate dental scholars and practitioners to showcase creative concepts, research breakthroughs, and technology-driven solutions addressing contemporary challenges in dentistry.
Themes & Focus Areas
- Integration of AI, digital workflows, and smart technologies in clinical dentistry
- Novel materials, biomaterials, and regenerative therapeutics
- Preventative, minimally invasive, and patient-centric dental care models
- Tele-dentistry, accessibility, and public health innovations
- Clinical problem-solving and multidisciplinary treatment protocols
Eligibility & Team Guidelines
- Target Audience: Open to all registered Postgraduate Dental Students (MDS / equivalent clinical postgraduates / dental residents).
- Team Composition: Individual participation or teams of up to 2–3 members (as permitted by institutional guidelines).
- Inter-specialization teams: Allowed.
- Inter-college teams: Allowed.
Competition Format & Rounds
- Round 1: Abstract & E-Poster Submission (Preliminary Round)
- Submit a structured abstract (maximum 250–300 words) summarizing the innovation, methodology, clinical relevance, and anticipated outcomes.
- Upload the static digital e-poster according to the submission specifications.
- Round 2: Virtual / Live Presentation & Q&A (Final Round)
- Shortlisted finalists will present their e-poster before a panel of jury members.
- Presentation duration: 5 minutes presentation + 3 minutes Q&A.
E-Poster Specifications
- Format: PDF or high-resolution JPEG/PNG.
- Orientation: Landscape (16:9 aspect ratio recommended).
- Content Flow: Title, Background & Problem Statement, Proposed Innovation/Methodology, Clinical Applications & Patient Impact, Conclusion/Future Directions.
- Readability: Clear visual hierarchy with legible fonts (minimum 16–18 pt for body text).
Evaluation Criteria
- Originality & Innovation (30%): Novelty of the concept and creative problem-solving approach.
- Clinical Relevance & Patient Impact (30%): Feasibility of translation into routine dental practice and benefits to patient outcomes.
- Scientific Rigour & Methodology (20%): Soundness of data, scientific backing, and logical structuring.
- Poster Design & Presentation Quality (20%): Visual clarity, concise delivery, and ability to address jury queries.
Rules & Code of Conduct
- All submissions must represent original work. Plagiarism or unauthorized use of intellectual property will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Patient anonymity must be strictly maintained in all clinical images and case documentation in accordance with ethical standards.
- The decision of the scientific committee and jury panel will be final and binding.
