Opportunity brief
Pitch Perfect - The 60-Second Startup Challenge is an entrepreneurship competition testing participants' creativity, confidence, business acumen, and persuasive communication. Participants randomly draw a business idea from the Idea Bowl, get 2 minutes to prepare, and then have 60 seconds to pitch it to judges as a real-world investor pitch.
Event Flow:
- Participants pick one random business idea from the Idea Bowl.
- 2 minutes of preparation time.
- 60-second investor pitch delivered to the judging panel, convincing them the startup deserves investment.
Rules:
- Individual participation only.
- Each participant randomly draws one idea; ideas cannot be exchanged or redrawn.
- Preparation time is capped at 2 minutes; pitch duration at 60 seconds.
- Exceeding the allotted time may be penalized.
- The competition runs across preliminary and final rounds, conducted on-campus, with a total duration of approximately 3 hours 45 minutes.
