About the Role: We are looking for an Investment Analyst Intern to support the evaluation of early-stage startups and investment opportunities. The role involves startup sourcing, market research, financial analysis, founder evaluation, and investment research. Key Responsibilities: Identify and source potential startups across relevant sectors. Conduct market and industry research. Analyse startup business models, products, markets, and competitive positioning. Evaluate founders, teams, and execution capabilities. Conduct preliminary financial and investment analysis. Research market size, growth potential, competitors, and customer segments. Screen startups against defined investment criteria. Prepare investment research reports and company profiles. Support preliminary due diligence on prospective investments. Track startup fundraising activity and emerging investment opportunities. Assist in preparing investment memos and presentations. Maintain a database of potential and evaluated startups. Strong analytical and research skills. Good understanding of business fundamentals. Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets and presentations. Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to form independent opinions from research. Students pursuing BBA, BCom, Economics, Finance, Engineering, MBA, CFA, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in investing or startups is not mandatory. Performance Expectations: The intern will be evaluated on quality of research, analytical thinking, accuracy, sourcing ability, investment judgment, communication, and ownership of assigned work. High-performing interns may be considered for extended internship or full-time opportunities based on performance and organisational requirements.
