Description
- JUST YAP is an inter-collegiate Just a Minute (JAM) speaking competition that tests participants' spontaneity, quick thinking, listening skills, verbal fluency, and composure. - Participants must speak on assigned topics while navigating challenges and interruptions permitted under the official JAM rules. - The competition focuses on participants' ability to think on their feet, maintain fluency, and respond effectively under pressure.

Competition Format
The competition will consist of four stages:
1. Preliminary Round (30–32 Participants)
- Every participant will receive an opportunity to initiate a speech on an assigned topic. - Other participants may challenge the speaker through the established JAM challenge mechanism. - Points and violations will be recorded by the moderator. - The top 12 participants will qualify for the next stage.
2. Top 12 Round
- The 12 qualified participants will compete under the prescribed JAM format. - Advancement will be determined by the official scoring and elimination criteria. - The top 6 participants will qualify for the next stage.
3. Top 6 Round
- The remaining 6 participants will compete for a place in the Grand Final. - The top 3 participants will qualify based on their scores.
4. Grand Final (Top 3)
- The three finalists will compete in the final stage. - Final rankings will determine the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up.

- All registrations and payments must be completed through the official Yugaantar '26 website. - Registration will be confirmed upon successful completion of the required registration process. -

Rules and Scoring
- Participants must follow the official JUST YAP speaking, timing, and challenge procedures. - Every participant will receive an opportunity to initiate a speech during the preliminary round. - Challenges may be raised only through the permitted JAM mechanism. - The moderator will record points, valid challenges, and violations. - Advancement will be determined according to the published scoring and tie-break rules. - Content quality, topic relevance, and coherence will not be separately assessed as subjective scoring categories. - Any personal-skills assessment will apply only to the final segment, as specified in the approved scoring framework. - The moderator's decisions will be governed by the official rulebook.
Strict Compliance
- Participants must adhere to the competition rules and instructions issued by the moderator. - Personal attacks, harassment, and disruptions outside the permitted JAM format are strictly prohibited. - Violations may result in penalties or disqualification according to the official rulebook. - All participants must comply with the published registration and competition guidelines.
