Objective:

Teams design, build, and operate robots to compete in 1v1 soccer matches. Robots must manoeuvre and control the ball to score goals while defending against the opposing robot.

Team Composition:

  • 2–4 participants per team
  • Cross-college teams allowed
  • Multiple teams from the same college permitted
  • Each participant may be part of only one team

Arena:

  • Artificial/false grass turf
  • Tentative dimensions: ~10 m × 5 m
  • Goals: ~1 m wide
  • Ball: Foam Ball
  • Designated boundaries and starting positions

Match Format:

  • 1v1 (one robot per team on the field)
  • Duration: 5 minutes
  • Two halves of approximately 2 minutes each
  • 1 minute halftime
  • Up to 30 seconds for maintenance/tuning between matches
  • Tie-breakers:

- Extra time: 2 minutes - Golden Goal if still tied

Robot Specifications:

  • Size: ≤ 30 cm × 30 cm × 20 cm (L×B×H)
  • Weight: ≤ 3 kg (5% tolerance)
  • Power: Onboard battery
  • Connectivity: Wireless only
  • Prebuilt/commercial competition kits: Not allowed
  • External structures such as pushers/kickers permitted
  • Ball trapping or permanent ball retention mechanisms not allowed
  • No sharp or hazardous components

Participant Requirements:

  • Bring fully assembled and functional robots
  • Carry controllers, batteries, spares and repair equipment
  • Complete technical inspection before matches
  • Report to the venue before the scheduled match
  • Only designated team members may operate or handle the robot during matches

Safety & Compliance:

  • No sharp edges or hazardous components
  • No external power sources during gameplay
  • No deliberate damage to robots or the ball
  • Battery and safety checks mandatory
  • Judges/referees can disqualify unsafe or non-compliant robots
