Overview:
DevHack 2026 is a 36-hour offline hackathon organized by the Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC) as part of Synergia 2026.
The competition begins with an online ideation round, followed by a final 36-hour offline hackathon at Sahyadri Campus, Mangaluru.
Eligibility:
- Open to all technical undergraduate degree college students.
- Participants can be from any year of study.
- All members of a team must belong to the same institute.
- Each team can have a maximum of 4 members.
- A participant can be part of only one team.
- If shortlisted for the final round, all registered team members must attend the offline hackathon.
Format:
- Format: Software Hackathon
- Hardware: The hackathon is strictly software-based; hardware-based solutions are not required.
Registration & Round 1:
Registrations Open: 22 September 2026
Registration & PPT Submission Deadline: 22 October 2026
Teams must register on Unstop and submit a PPT and the drive link consisting of a demo video explaining MVP presenting their proposed solution.

Round 1 Results: 4 November 2026
Shortlisted teams will then receive instructions to confirm their participation in the final offline round through RSVP.
Final Round:
Venue: Sahyadri Campus, Mangaluru
Hackathon Reporting: 12 November 2026, 10:00 AM
Hackathon Starts: 12 November 2026, 11:00 AM
Final Event Ends: 14 November 2026, 2:30 AM
All shortlisted teams must be present at the venue on time and complete the mandatory reporting and offline team verification process. Teams will then have 36 hours of dedicated project development time, with mentor checkpoints, meals, and engaging activities scheduled throughout the event to support and enhance their experience.
Rules:
- All solutions must be original.
- Plagiarism or reuse of previously completed projects is strictly prohibited.
- Teams may not collaborate with or seek assistance from other competing teams.
- The submitted solution must directly address the selected problem statement.
- Teams must follow all instructions, guidelines, and deadlines specified by the organizers.
- The organizers reserve the right to make necessary changes to the event schedule, rules, guidelines, or other arrangements at any time. Any such updates or last-minute changes communicated by the organizers must be followed by all participating teams.
- Teams are expected to remain flexible and comply with any instructions or modifications announced during the event.
- Judges' decisions will be final and binding.
