Event Structure:
- Two-Round Event: The competition will be conducted in two rounds: a Preliminary Round and a Final Round.
- Preliminary Round: The Preliminary Round will be conducted on CodeChef.
- Final Round: The Final Round will be conducted on POMELO.
- The competition will feature a combination of logic-deduction-based challenges and conventional competitive programming problems.
- Logic Deduction Problems: Participants must analyze the given examples and deduce the underlying logic before implementing their solutions.
- Conventional Problems: Participants must analyze the given problem statement and develop an appropriate algorithm and implementation.
- Evaluation: Hidden test cases will be used to evaluate the correctness and generalization of submitted solutions.
Judging Criteria:
- Accuracy: Solutions must produce the correct output for all visible and hidden test cases.
- Problem Solving: Ability to derive the required logic and develop an effective solution.
- Efficiency: Solutions must satisfy the specified time and memory constraints.
- Scoring: Problems will carry different weightage based on difficulty.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of a tie in total score, the participant with the lower total solving time will rank higher.
Guidelines for Participants:
- This is an individual competition (1 participant per registration).
- You may code in C, C++, Java, or Python.
- There is no negative marking.
- Each problem carries different weightage based on difficulty.
- Multiple submissions are allowed before the contest ends. A problem will be awarded its assigned points when the submitted solution is accepted.
- No plagiarism, AI assistance, or external discussion is allowed during the contest.
- Logic-deduction problems require participants to deduce the underlying logic from the given examples.
- The competition includes both logic-deduction and conventional competitive programming problems, testing progressive problem-solving and algorithmic reasoning.
- All submissions must be made through the designated platform for the respective round.
- In case of a tie in total score, the participant with the lower cumulative time for their accepted solutions will rank higher.
Basic Rules:
- Reach the venue before the contest timings.
- The competition will be conducted offline at the designated venue.
- No using the internet to search for answers, solutions, tutorials, or other external assistance.
- Discussion or communication with other participants during the contest is not allowed.
- Use of AI tools or external assistance is not permitted.
- Any form of plagiarism or copying of code will result in disqualification.
