About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Android Application Developer to design, develop, and maintain high quality Android applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Android development, programming fundamentals, and user interface design, with a passion for building reliable, efficient, and user friendly applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin or Java.
- Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern Android development practices.
- Integrate REST APIs and third party services into applications.
- Work with Android SDK, Android Studio, and relevant development frameworks.
- Implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize application performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well structured code.
- Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and other team members.
- Test applications, identify bugs, and ensure compatibility across different Android versions.
- Participate in virtual meetings, code reviews, and project discussions.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development technologies and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Kotlin or Java.
- Familiarity with Android Studio and the Android SDK.
- Understanding of object oriented programming and software development principles.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP communication.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of Android application architecture and lifecycle.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and work independently.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Jetpack Compose or XML based layouts.
- Familiarity with Firebase and backend services.
- Knowledge of Room, SQLite, or other local data storage solutions.
- Experience with GitHub and collaborative development workflows.
- Previous experience developing and publishing Android applications.
