Opportunity brief
Overview
Each team of 3 pitches an original food product or concept that solves one specific, clearly defined problem, such as a nutrition gap, food loss and waste, climate-resilient sourcing, or affordability and access. The product must be the team's own creation; existing commercial products may not be presented.
Guidelines & Format:
- Online screening + Offline final.
- Screening Round: Submit a presentation deck of a maximum of 8 slides as a PDF (max 10 MB) via the official submission form by 10 October 2026, 11:59 PM IST.
- Final Round: 16 October 2026, starting at 10:00 AM at IIPM, Bengaluru. Each team has 6 minutes to present, followed by 4 minutes of Q&A.
Other Details
- Team Eligibility: UG and PG students; mixed teams across UG and PG are allowed.
- Inter-college Team Members: Not Allowed.
- Inter-specialization Team Members: Allowed.
- Problem Statements: Propose an original food product/concept addressing a specific food system problem.
- Duration of Rounds: Screening (submission-based); Final presentation (6 mins presentation + 4 mins Q&A).
Rules:
- All health, nutrition, and safety claims must be backed by credible sources (published studies or FSSAI guidance) and comply with FSSAI labelling regulations.
- Public pitches: do not disclose confidential information; organizers do not provide IP protection.
