Caterpillar is hiring for the role of Design Engineer!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Design and develop Air and Fuel System components and subsystems.
- Lead and Support engineering activities from requirements, design and validation through production implementation.
- Perform design reviews, engineering analysis, packaging and component evaluations.
- Support component/engine testing, validation and fit-up trials.
- Resolve product, quality, reliability and manufacturing issues using structured problem-solving.
- Support NPI, Current Product, supplier resourcing and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with global engineering, suppliers, validation, manufacturing and purchasing teams.
- Own assigned engineering deliverables and drive them to completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Engineering in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in diesel engines, Air/Fuel Systems, powertrain or component engineering.
- Experience in design/development, validation and engineering problem-solving.
- Working knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T and design documentation.
- Strong analytical, communication and collaboration skills.
