Opportunity brief
Cashfree Payments is hiring for the role Product Analyst 1!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Own the metrics for Payouts. Define, build, and maintain the core metrics for Payouts, including volumes, revenue, merchant activation, retention, success rates, and API performance. Make these the single source of truth for the pod. - Find growth levers. Dig into merchant behaviour, usage patterns, churn, and cross-sell signals to identify where revenue is being left on the table. Turn those findings into clear recommendations. - Size opportunities and measure impact. Build business cases for new features, pricing changes, and segments. After launch, measure whether they actually worked. - Support product decisions with data. Partner with PMs, product marketing, sales, and engineering to answer questions quickly and rigorously, from "why did success rates drop on Tuesday" to "which merchant segment should we target next quarter." - Build with AI, not just use it. Use AI tools to speed up querying, analysis, and insight generation, and help the pod build AI-assisted workflows that make everyone more data-fluent. - Pick up whatever the pod needs. Take on problems that don't fit neatly into an analyst job description, whether that's competitive research, merchant deep-dives, pricing analysis, or ops problems.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical thinking. You break ambiguous problems into structured questions, pick the right data to answer them, and get to a defensible conclusion. - Hands-on SQL. You write complex queries yourself (joins, window functions, CTEs, aggregations on large transactional datasets) and you can explain your logic. - AI-native way of working. You use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar) as a core part of your analytics workflow for writing and debugging queries, exploring data, summarising findings, and automating repetitive work. You can show us how. - Boundary-less ownership. You don't wait for tasks to fit your role. You step into new problems, take on new responsibilities willingly, and see them through. - Clear communication. You can turn a messy analysis into a crisp narrative that a PM, a salesperson, or leadership can act on.
