Opportunity brief
Company Description: By.agog is a brand strategy studio helping businesses become clearer, more memorable and difficult to ignore. We work across positioning, messaging, naming, visual identity, website strategy and brand communication, starting with what a brand should be known for before defining how it looks or sounds. By combining strategy, psychology and creative thinking, we help businesses uncover what makes them distinct and communicate it in a way people understand, remember and choose. Role Description: We're looking for someone curious about businesses, people and why companies succeed or struggle to stand out . As a Business Development & Lead Research Intern, you'll help us find the businesses that are most likely to benefit from By.agog's work. This isn't a role where you'll simply be given a database and asked to collect names and email addresses. You'll be expected to research businesses, understand what they're doing, identify potential opportunities, find the right decision-makers and determine whether they're actually worth reaching out to. You'll work closely with me to understand our ideal clients and turn that understanding into a qualified prospect pipeline. What you'll work on: Researching companies across our target sectors and identifying potential clients Finding founders, CEOs and other relevant decision-makers Studying websites, social presence, positioning and competitors to identify potential brand opportunities Qualifying prospects against By.agog's ideal client profiles Building and maintaining accurate prospect lists and CRM records Writing or assisting with personalized outreach based on your research Managing follow-ups and keeping prospect information organised Tracking outreach activity and helping analyse what types of prospects are actually converting Researching new industries, markets and prospecting opportunities Working with the strategy team to continuously refine our ICPs and outbound approach Qualifications: You don't need to be an expert in sales or branding. We care more about how you think. You should: Be naturally curious about businesses and how they operate Be good at researching and finding information beyond the first Google result Be able to look at a company and form an opinion about its positioning, communication or market Have strong written communication and attention to detail Be comfortable working with spreadsheets, databases and CRM tools Be organised enough to manage multiple prospects and follow-ups without losing track Be willing to learn about branding, positioning and outbound sales Be comfortable with repetitive research without treating it as mindless data entry A background or interest in business, marketing, communications, psychology, branding or entrepreneurship is a plus. Experience with tools such as LinkedIn, Apollo, Prospeo, Instantly, Google Sheets or CRM platforms is helpful but not required.
