About the Event: The Decision Room is an interdisciplinary strategy and adaptability competition hosted by Vishwast: The Marketing Club as part of Interface, the annual flagship program of the Department of Management at BITS Pilani.
Designed for visionary thinkers across all disciplines—Engineering, Business/MBA, Sciences, Humanities, Design, and Economics—this event challenges you to solve real-world business crises and adapt under live pressure using generative AI.
Can your strategy survive an unexpected disruption? Can you pivot on the fly and produce a compelling 60-second AI-generated campaign in just 30 minutes? Proven business frameworks meet cutting-edge AI execution in this ultimate test of agility.
Eligibility & Rules:
- Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in any recognized institute.
- Team Size: 2 to 4 members per team.
- Cross-Disciplinary Teams: Highly encouraged! (e.g., Engineering + MBA + Economics).
- A participant can only be part of one team.
Rounds & Format:
Round 1: Online Interdisciplinary Business & Strategy Challenge (Unstop)
- Format: Online Assessment (30 MCQs).
- Duration: 30 minutes.
- Focus Areas: Logical reasoning, market awareness, consumer insights, data interpretation, and strategic choices.
- Outcome: Top 6 teams qualify for the Campus Final.
Round 2: The Decision Room – Campus Final
- Problem Allocation: 5-7 days before the campus final, shortlisted teams receive a unique company case, business problem statement, and Strategic Starter Kit (2-page framework guide). - Stage A (Initial Pitch): Present your 6–8 slide strategy deck (5–7 min pitch + 3 min Judge Q&A). - Stage B (The Twist Reveal): Receive a confidential real-time business disruption along with an AI Video Mandate. - Stage C (30-Min Adaptation & AI Video Sprint): 30 minutes to revise your strategy deck (1–2 new slides) and generate a 60-second AI video campaign using any generative AI tool. - Stage D (Final Pitch & Defense): Present your pivoted strategy and screen your 60-second AI video campaign (1 min video + 4 min pitch + 3–4 min Q&A).
