About the Opportunity
You have read the markets. You have debated valuations. Now prove you can beat the street.
The Desk by Finomaniac Club is a two-stage finance challenge built for those who think sharp and act sharper. Stage 1 tests you online. Stage 2 brings you to the real street on 26 September — an exclusive, invitation-only live experience on campus for qualifiers. Hundreds will attempt the quiz. Only the sharpest will be invited to the Street.

Eligibility
- Open to all undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA students from any college in India.
- All years, streams, and specialisations are eligible.
- Working professionals and school students are not eligible.
Team Guidelines
- Team Size: 1–3 members
- Inter-College Teams: Allowed
- Inter-Specialisation Teams: Allowed
- Inter-Year Teams: Allowed
- One student cannot be part of more than one team.
- Only the Team Leader will attempt the quiz on behalf of the entire team on Unstop.
Competition Format & Process
This competition has two stages.
Stage 1: Online Quiz – Eliminator
The online quiz will be conducted on Unstop.
- Duration: 25 minutes
- Number of Questions: 30 MCQs
- Scoring: +1 for each correct answer
- Negative Marking: None
- Topics: Finance Basics, Business & Market Awareness, Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, and Analytical Thinking
- Quiz Window: 16 September, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Attempts: Single attempt only; participants can attempt the quiz anytime within the given window.
Evaluation
The quiz will be auto-evaluated on Unstop. Top performers will qualify for Stage 2. In case of a tie, the team with the faster completion time will be ranked higher.
Stage 2: The Desk – Offline Main Event
- Date: 26 September
- Venue: BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus
- Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours
- Mode: Offline
The Desk will be an immersive live finance simulation and strategy challenge conducted on campus. The complete format, rules, and briefing for the Main Event will be shared only with qualified teams on-site. No prior preparation is required.
Teams must report 2–3 hours prior to the scheduled time and carry their College ID.
Rules
- All decisions regarding changes, confusion, or disputes will rest solely with the Organisers. The decision of the Organisers will be final and binding.
- Any use of unfair means, tab-switching, external help, or AI tools during the quiz will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Registrations must be completed only via Unstop. No on-the-spot registrations will be entertained for the Main Event.
- Teams must strictly adhere to all deadlines. Late submissions will not be evaluated.
- Cross-team communication and use of mobile phones during the Main Event will not be permitted, as per the on-site briefing.
- Organisers reserve the right to change the prizes, dates, venue, or structure of the competition in case of unforeseen circumstances.
Judging Criteria & Prizes
- Stage 1 will be auto-judged on Unstop.
- Stage 2 evaluation criteria will be explained during the on-site briefing.
- Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners.
- Participation certificates will be provided to all Stage 2 finalists.
