Opportunity brief
About The Event:
- TaalMaxxing is an interactive AI × Music challenge exploring the fusion of artificial intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), prompt engineering, and human musical creativity.
- The event takes participants on a hands-on journey through three distinct phases of modern music creation: identifying AI-generated audio, crafting music with AI prompts, and independently producing original tracks using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW).
- The event contributes directly to SDG 4: Quality Education by fostering digital literacy, creative problem-solving, AI prompt engineering, and practical audio production skills outside traditional classroom environments.
Round Wise Details:
Round 1: AI Vs Human-Made:
- Format: Analytical audio identification challenge.
- Mechanism: Participants listen to a curated set of musical tracks consisting of both AI-generated and human-composed pieces. Teams must analyze sound patterns, audio textures, and compositional nuances to correctly classify each track.
Round 2: Create Using AI:
- Format: Prompt engineering & AI music sprint.
- Mechanism: Using provided AI music generation tools, teams write and refine natural-language prompts to compose a short musical piece. Evaluation focuses on prompt precision, creative direction, and output quality.
Round 3: Create It Yourself:
- Format: Hands-on DAW audio production.
- Mechanism: Teams receive an introduction to Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) basics and access to a custom soundboard developed by the organizing team. Participants produce an original music piece independently using these tools without relying on AI generation.
