Opportunity brief

Round Wise Details

Round 1: Design Under Pressure

-

Duration: 75–90 Minutes

- Mechanism: Participants receive an SDG-focused design brief and develop a comprehensive digital campaign concept (visual language, typography, color scheme, imagery hierarchy, and messaging). - The Twist: Live brief modifications are announced every 15–20 minutes (altering target demographic, platform format, or message constraints). Teams must adapt their existing work in real time rather than restarting from scratch.

Round 2: From Screen to Real World

-

Duration: 45–60 Minutes

- Mechanism: Teams translate their Round 1 campaign identity into a physical fashion merchandise mockup or product line (e.g., streetwear, accessories, apparel branding). The physical application must maintain visual continuity with the digital campaign. - The Commercial Twist: Organizers introduce a surprise commercial/manufacturing constraint that teams must resolve while preserving the core SDG message and aesthetic appeal.

Final Presentation & Defense

-

Deliverables: Teams submit and present:

  • Original Design: Initial campaign layout.
  • Adapted Design: Final digital iteration after live shifts.
  • Merchandise Application: Physical/fashion product mockup.
  • Pitch (60–90 Seconds): Brief presentation explaining design decisions, brief adaptations, product rationale, and SDG connection.

Rulus and Guidelines

  • Participation & Structure: Open to individual entries or teams of 2–3 members. Total event duration is approximately 2.5–3 hours.
  • Bringing your own Laptop is Mandatory for all the teams
  • Brief & Identity Consistency:
  • Participants must strictly adhere to the assigned SDG topic and brief requirements.
  • During Round 1 live shifts, teams must adapt existing assets rather than restarting.
  • In Round 2, the fashion product must derive directly from the Round 1 visual identity.
  • Practical Design Execution: Physical/fashion merchandise mockups must consider real-world factors such as printability, composition, scale, and desirability.
  • Submission: All 3 connected design outcomes (Original, Adapted, Merchandise) and the 60–90 second pitch defense are mandatory for evaluation.

Judging Criteria:

  • Concept clarity & strength of the SDG social message
  • Speed & impact of visual communication
  • Adaptability under live brief changes
  • Design fundamentals (typography, composition, color theory, hierarchy)
  • Seamless transition into fashion/physical merchandise
  • Pitch presentation and design justification

- Final Authority: The decision of the judges and organizing committee is final and non-contestable.
