Opportunity brief
Allianz is hiring for the role of Group Technical Architect (AI Engagement Manager)!
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Form a half-pizza squad with the Forward Deployed Engineers for OE engagement, together with the local IT and/or vertical people who know the core systems. - Shape and execute OE demand, making AI Factory capability visible early, match reusable building blocks (MVS) against the OE's actual pain points, and turn this into a funded engagement before the OE reaches outside. - Steer multiple engagements in parallel across the full lifecycle, transforming patterns, framings and lessons between them so the next engagement starts smarter than the last. - Cut scope where it does not earn its place, validate assumptions quickly and correct course as the work unfolds. - Own the build-to-run handover to the global service or local IT team, with the run team involved during delivery rather than at the handover. - Own the OE relationship for go-live and prepare structured communications and decision papers for senior stakeholders up to CTO and Board level.
Requirements:
- A degree in business management, technology or a related field, with experience steering delivery or programmes in a larger organisation. - Knowledge of Allianz Group and Allianz Technology is a plus. - Senior enough for OE leadership and Head of IT conversations, with technical depth to follow the build and cut scope honestly. - Strong stakeholder, business-framing and roadmap-shaping skills, with the ability to prepare clear decision materials for executive audiences. - Experience translating business problems into delivered software, ideally in insurance or another regulated environment. - An entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable taking ownership and driving topics forward in a build-up environment without waiting for perfect structure. - Fluent in English. - Basic to solid knowledge of AI technologies, agentic principles and their practical use.
