About the Competition
Turncoat Debate is a dynamic debate competition where participants must argue both sides of a motion and switch their stance midway through the round.
Eligibility
- Open to all students. - Law students are strongly encouraged to participate. - Participation may be individual or in teams of 2.
Format
- Preliminary and final rounds will be conducted. - Motions will be randomly assigned. - Participants must argue both sides of the motion. - Participants will switch their stance midway through the round. -

Process
- Register individually or as a 2-member team. - Participate in the preliminary round. - Receive a randomly assigned motion. - Present arguments and switch stance as required. - Qualified participants proceed to the final round. - Final results will be based on the judging criteria.
Rules
- Participants must be prepared to argue both sides of the assigned motion. - Motions will be randomly assigned. - Participation may be individual or in a 2-member team. - Participants must report at least 30 minutes before the event. - Valid college ID is mandatory. - Judges' decisions are final and binding.
