Opportunity brief
Responsibilities of the Intern: Develop 3D CAD models and assemblies of structural components using Fusion 360, soldiworks and other tools. Conduct structural simulations (static, dynamic, modal, fatigue, thermal) to evaluate performance. Apply numerical methods and basic structural mechanics to support engineering decisions. Assist in material selection, load estimation, and weight optimization. Collaborate with design and aerodynamics teams to ensure structural integrity under real-world conditions. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations of design and simulation results. Requirements: Strong fundamentals in aircraft structures, mechanics of materials, and numerical methods. Proficiency in Fusion 360 and familiarity with at least one additional software (ANSYS, Abaqus, NASTRAN, CATIA, or SolidWorks). Understanding of FEA, CFD coupling, and multi-disciplinary analysis. Ability to apply engineering judgment beyond software outputs (verification, validation, sanity checks). Enthusiasm for aerospace technology and design innovation.
