Opportunity brief

Overview

Think You Can't Build a Game Because You Don't Code? Think Again.

Welcome to Tryb Prompt & Play: The Zero-Code AI Game Design Challenge!

Prizes Worth ₹17.5k | No Coding Required | Fast-Track PPIs

Have you ever played a game with friends and thought:

"I have a crazy idea for a hostel trivia game, a chaotic dating simulator, or a savage campus bluff game..." but you didn't know how to code?

Tryb Prompt & Play is built specifically for creatives, storytellers, meme makers, designers, and thinkers.

With Tryb's AI engine, you don't write syntax—you act as the Game Director. You describe the world, the characters, and the fun rules using simple everyday English prompts. AI handles the code. You focus on the magic!

Zero Coding Prerequisites

  • Do you need to know programming? NO.
  • Do you need a CS degree? NO.
  • Can a design, literature, commerce, or first-year student win? YES!
  • If you can write a prompt and explain game rules to a friend, you have everything you need.

What Kinds of Games Can You Create?

You can build super fun, lightweight, bite-sized mini-games such as:

  • Hyper-Local Campus Games: Canteen chaos, survival before 8 AM attendance, dean vs. backbencher banter.
  • Social Deduction & Bluffing: Who's lying? Guess the impostor, hot-takes, or speed voting.
  • Campus Trivia & Quizzes: Bollywood, anime, pop-culture roasts, or tech trivia.
  • Snackable Arcade / Physics: Reflex games, flappy twists, coin collection, or balance challenges.

The 3-Step Creator Flow

  • Step 1: The Concept (Your Imagination)Come up with a hook! What makes it hilarious, addictive, or relatable to your campus friends?
  • Step 2: Prompt the AI builder with your rules, visuals, and scoring mechanics. Playtest and refine it in real-time until it feels just right.
  • Step 3: The Campus Playtest (Proof of Fun)Share your custom game link with your friends, hostel wing, and batch groups. Watch your game get played live on the Daily Active Player (DAU) leaderboard!

Prizes & Recognition

  • Grand Prize (Best Game Director): ₹10,000 Cash
  • 2nd Place: ₹5,000 Cash
  • 3rd Place: ₹2,500 Cash

Career Perks: Fast-Track Product / Design Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs), internships at Tryb, and official Creator Certificates.

How Games Are Judged

  • Community Traction: How many real friends and students played your game during the playtest window? Share your game with your community. The game that is played the most gets the prize.
  • All games will be evaluated in the window of 30th Oct, 31st Oct, 1st Nov.
  • Only games with at least 10 users playing it actively will be considered.
  • Detail out the prompt as much as possible for the best possible game.
  • We suggest that you generate the games upfront and iterate and work on it before the time period.

Eligibility

  • Open to all college students (Design, Arts, Commerce, Media, Engineering, Management) and freshers pan-India.
  • Solo submissions (feel free to brainstorm with your friends, but submit under your name).
