About the Challenge
Vapasi – The Relaunch Challenge is a business strategy competition that challenges participants to rethink, reposition, and relaunch a brand, product, or business that has lost relevance or struggled in the market. Participants will step into the role of strategists and develop a practical relaunch plan addressing the core reasons behind the decline while identifying new opportunities for growth.
Eligibility
- Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all colleges and disciplines.
- Participants can register individually or in teams of 1–3 members.
- Cross-college teams are permitted.
- There is no restriction on academic background or specialisation.
- A participant can register with only one team.
Format & Process
Round 1 – Case Submission
Registered teams will receive a business case centred around a brand, product, or business that requires a strategic relaunch. Teams must analyse the case, identify the key challenges, and develop a comprehensive relaunch strategy.
Submissions will be evaluated based on strategic depth, creativity, feasibility, quality of analysis, and potential business impact. The top-performing teams will advance to the final round.
Round 2 – On-Campus Finale Round
Finalist teams will be invited to the campus for an offline presentation of their relaunch strategy before a panel of judges.
Teams will present their proposed solution and defend their strategic decisions during the judging process. The final round will assess the team's ability to communicate its strategy effectively, respond to questions, and demonstrate the practicality and commercial viability of its solution.
Rules
- Each team must consist of 1–3 members.
- A participant can register with only one team.
- Cross-college teams are permitted.
- All submissions must be original and created specifically for the competition.
- Teams must adhere to the prescribed submission format and deadlines.
- Plagiarism or use of previously submitted work will result in disqualification.
- Finalists must be available to attend the offline presentation round on campus.
- The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
- Further case details, submission guidelines, presentation duration, and evaluation parameters will be communicated to registered participants.
