Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Participants must be currently enrolled as full-time students at the time of registration.
- Each participant can register in only one team.
- Cross-college teams are allowed.
- Team composition will remain fixed after Round 1 submission.
Event Format:
Round 1: Online Qualifier:
- Duration: 20 minutes
- Format: Timed multiple-choice quiz (30 MCQs)
- Marking Scheme: Correct Answer: +1 | Incorrect Answer: –0.25 | Unattempted: 0
- Topics Covered: Business & Startup Fundamentals, Technology & Digital Transformation, Current Affairs, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and General Business Awareness.
Guidelines:
- The quiz must be attempted by any member on behalf of the team.
- The score obtained will be considered for the entire team.
- Teams will be shortlisted based on the time taken to complete the challenge, with faster completion earning an advantage in the selection process.
- Only one attempt is allowed.
- Questions will be randomized to ensure fairness.
- No external assistance or multiple devices are permitted.
- The quiz may be proctored; any malpractice may result in disqualification.
- Participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection before attempting the quiz.
Round 2: The Crisis Case (Offline Round):
Phase 1:
- All shortlisted teams will begin by solving a set of logical and analytical reasoning questions within the allotted time. This phase will carry 30 marks.
- Logical and Analytical questions would be based upon a case provided by the organizer. ( Time - 40 minutes).
Phase 2:
- Teams will enter a live crisis simulation where 6 breaking-news updates will be released at 7-minute intervals, with the complete phase lasting 42 minutes.
- After each update, teams must analyse the situation and record their response on the official answer sheet provided by the organisers.
- At the end of the 42-minute crisis simulation, teams must stop writing, photograph their completed answer sheet and submit it to the organisers. The submitted sheet will serve as the team's official response.
- Boardroom Presentation: Presentation order and Industry Order will be determined by the sequence chit drawn from the Mystery Box. Each team will receive 7 minutes for presentation followed by 3 minutes of Q&A.
- Teams must strictly adhere to the strategy and answers recorded on their submitted answer sheet during the presentation. Any material deviation may result in negative marking.
- The presentation and Q&A will be evaluated for Problem Diagnosis, Strategic Decision-Making, Adaptability, and Communication & Q&A, carrying a total of 70 marks.
- Final Scoring: The final score will be the combined score of Phase 1 (30 marks) and Phase 2 (70 marks). The team with the highest overall score will be declared the winner.
Rules & Regulations
- Teams must consist of 4–5 members, and the same members must continue throughout the competition.
- Only shortlisted teams from the Online Qualifier will advance to the Offline Finale.
- All participants must carry a valid student ID card/Govt. ID on the day of the event.
- Teams are expected to maintain professional conduct throughout the competition.
- Any form of plagiarism, malpractice, unfair means, or disruptive behavior will lead to immediate disqualification.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to modify event rules if necessary.
- The decision of the judges and organizing committee shall be final and binding.
- Property Damage Rules: Any damage to property must be reported immediately, and the responsible person will be liable for the repair or replacement costs.
