Opportunity brief

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to UG, MBA and PGDM students across India.
  • Participants can belong to any specialisation and any B-school.
  • Cross-college teams are allowed.
  • Team composition will remain fixed after Round 1 submission.

Rules and Regulations:

  • Each team will receive a problem statement and the relevant customer information at the beginning of the second round.
  • All work must be completed during the event using the materials and canvases provided by the organisers.
  • Pre-made decks, templates or prepared content are not permitted during the event.
  • Phones and laptops are permitted only during Rounds 2a.
  • Bids are binding and Genesis Credits cannot be transferred between teams.
  • A team can only build MVP using selected resources during the bidding round.
  • Participants must adhere to all round timings and pitch time limits.
  • Copying, unauthorised external assistance or malpractice may lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Organisers decisions regarding the event, judging and results will be final.
  • Any damage to property must be reported immediately, and the responsible person will be liable for the repair or replacement costs.

Event Format:

  • Round 1 – The Discovery Sprint:Teams participate in an online Genesis Quiz.
  • Round 2a – The Build Floor:Shortlisted teams will receive a real, unbranded customer problem and work during the event to understand the problem, define the user, analyse the market, prioritise features and build an MVP.
  • Teams will then develop a Now–Next–Later roadmap, GTM strategy, and revenue model based on their available resources and selected product components.
  • Round 2b – Launch Day:Teams present their final product concept, roadmap and MVP to the judging panel through a 4-minute pitch followed by a 2-minute leadership Q&A.
  • Teams will present using their physical canvases and product billboard rather than relying on conventional presentation decks.
