Event Overview
Welcome to Biznovator 2026 - the flagship national-level startup competition by SCIT's iTELF, where innovative ideas evolve into investor-ready ventures.
Whether you're an aspiring entrepreneur, a problem solver, or someone with a vision to create impact, Biznovator provides the perfect platform to validate your idea, refine your business model, and pitch before investors, startup mentors, and industry experts.
Through a rigorous three-round journey, participants will experience the complete startup validation process-from identifying real-world problems to presenting scalable business solutions.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as the general public.
- Participants may be students or public; there is no requirement to be currently enrolled in an educational institution.
- Teams may consist of 1 to 5 members.
- Teams from different colleges and academic backgrounds are welcome to participate together.
- Each participant can be part of only one team.
- No prior startup experience is required - only a strong idea and the willingness to build.
Rules & Regulations:
- Participants must present a valid government ID whenever requested.
- All submissions must be original. Plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.
- Teams must strictly use the official templates shared by the organizing committee.
- Participants must not mention the name of their college, university, or any other institution in their Round 1 or Round 2 submissions.
- No edits or resubmissions will be accepted after the submission deadline.
- Finalist teams must attend the Grand Finale at SCIT, Pune.
- Appropriate language, professionalism, and ethical conduct must be maintained throughout the competition.
Rounds and Point Criteria:
Round 1 – Idea Validation Canvas:
The submission includes:
- Problem Statement
- Customer Segment
- Existing Alternatives
- Proposed Solution
- Unique Value Proposition
- Key Assumption
- Financial Projection (optional)
Evaluation Focus:
- Problem Clarity & Relevance
- Customer Understanding
- Solution Fit & Uniqueness
- Validation & Evidence
- Overall Canvas Quality
Round 2 – Business Model Proposal & Elevator Pitch:
- Shortlisted teams will submit:
Business Model Proposal (3–5 Pages):
- Executive Summary
- Business Model Canvas
- Go-To-Market Strategy
- Revenue Model & Pricing
- Competitive Landscape
Elevator Pitch Video:
- What are you building?
- Who is it for?
- How will you make money?
- Why now?
- Why your team?
Round 3 – Grand Finale (Live Pitch Day):
- The top finalist teams will present their startup ideas before a distinguished jury comprising investors, startup mentors, and industry experts.
Pitch Structure:
- 7 Minutes – Startup Presentation
- 5 Minutes – Investors Q&A
The final presentation should effectively communicate:
- Problem & Solution
- Market Opportunity
- Business Model
- Revenue Strategy
- Financial Projections
- Product Demonstration
- Team & Vision
Important Guidelines:
- All submissions must follow the official templates.
- Original work is mandatory.
- Any plagiarism or false information will result in disqualification.
- No college or institution name should appear in submissions before the finale.
- Submission deadlines are strictly enforced.
- The organizing committee's decision will be final.
