Opportunity brief

Eligibility: Undergraduate Postgraduate Engineering Students Fresher About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented HyperMesh CAE Intern to assist with a large-scale finite element preprocessing project. The work involves creating high-quality finite element models using Altair HyperMesh based on the provided CAD geometry, meshing requirements, quality criteria, and problem statements. This is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates with strong CAE preprocessing skills who want to work on a real-world engineering project with defined deliverables and deadlines. Project Details: Total Assignments: 50 Software: Altair HyperMesh Project Duration: 15 Calendar Days All CAD models, meshing criteria, quality requirements, and problem statements will be provided before work begins. Responsibilities of the Intern: Create high-quality finite element meshes using Altair HyperMesh. Perform geometry cleanup and defeaturing where required. Generate shell or solid meshes as specified in the assignment. Ensure all mesh quality parameters satisfy the provided quality criteria. Organize components, properties, materials, and collectors appropriately. Maintain a clean and structured HyperMesh database. Prepare a brief preprocessing log highlighting any assumptions or corrections made. Organize and name files exactly as specified. Deliverables: Six native HyperMesh model files (.hm), one for each question in an assignment. Exported solver input files (.bdf/.fem/.inp or as specified). A short preprocessing/assumptions log. Properly named files packaged in a dedicated assignment folder. Requirements: Proficiency in Altair HyperMesh. Good understanding of finite element preprocessing. Knowledge of geometry cleanup and mesh generation. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and CAD geometry. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Who Can Apply? Mechanical Engineering students. Automotive Engineering students. Aerospace Engineering students. CAD/CAE students. Recent graduates with HyperMesh experience. Preferred Skills: Altair HyperMesh Geometry Cleanup Shell Meshing Solid Meshing Finite Element Preprocessing Mesh Quality Improvement Engineering Drawing Interpretation FE Model Preparation Automotive/Aerospace CAE Fundamentals
