Welcome to the Young Innovators Internship Challenge (YIIC) – 9th Edition, by Scaler School of Technology, Bengaluru!
A free, 4-week online challenge where Class 11 & 12 students find a real problem, build an app that solves it using AI, and launch it to real users.
About the Opportunity
YIIC is a project-based program that helps you start your computer science journey with clarity and confidence. Over four weekend sessions, you'll learn how real products are built: spotting problems, prompting AI, and working with frontend, backend, databases and APIs, all the way to launching and pitching. Founders, engineers and the SST team mentor you throughout.
By the end, you will have shipped a live web app that solves a problem from your school, home or community, such as a revision planner, a canteen pre-order tool or a society lost-and-found.
No prior coding experience is needed.
Eligibility
- Students currently in Class 11 or 12 (PCM)
- Open to students from any school across India
- Participation is individual
- Students under 18 will need a parent's or guardian's permission to sign up for the free build tools used in the program
Format
- 100% online, free of cost
- 4 live sessions with industry experts, one each week
- A live quiz in every session (it also counts as attendance)
- A weekly build assignment you complete at your own pace
- A final project, a project report and a final assessment
