About the Competition:

  • Mud, stones, gravel, water, bridges and ramps. Build a bot that can cross all of it, then do it faster than everyone else.
  • Date: 24 and 25 September 2026

Venue: Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai - Prize Pool: ₹40,000 | Entry: ₹900 for the first phase of registration | Team Size: 1 to 4

The Format:

- Two rounds. Round 1 scores you on time with penalties. The top 8 or top 16 teams, depending on overall participation, advance to Round 2, which is a pure knockout with no time scoring at all. The arena may be reconfigured between rounds.

Robot Specifications:

  • Dimensions: Must not exceed 30 cm × 30 cm × 30 cm at any point of the game. 5% tolerance allowed.
  • Weight: Must not exceed 5 kg. 5% tolerance allowed.
  • Voltage: Maximum 12 V for batteries and between any two points of the circuit, at any point of the game.
  • Drive: 2-wheel or 4-wheel drive. All tyres must contribute to motion.
  • Control: Wired and wireless both permitted.
  • Wired Control: The control wire must be at least 4 metres long, routed through a pole at least 45 cm high or held upright by a person throughout the match, and kept slack at all times.
  • Wireless Control: Dual-frequency operation is required to avoid interference. RF modules salvaged from toy cars are allowed. The body must not be taken from a readymade toy. Robot-making kits are fine. LEGO kits mean disqualification.

Round 1 Scoring:

Your time to complete the arena is the base score. Penalties are added to it.

  • Wheel touches the line: +5 seconds per wheel
  • Hand touches the robot: +5 seconds per touch
  • Bot goes out of track completely: +10 seconds
  • Bot goes out of track via ground contact: +20 seconds, plus 5 seconds per wheel involved
  • Obstacle skipped: +25 seconds

Round 2:

- Pure knockout. No penalties, no time considerations. Tactical pushing is allowed. Skipping obstacles is not permitted in this round.

On the Day:

- All bots are inspected before the competition. Only coordinators and 2 members per team are allowed inside the arena boundary during matches, and spectators stay outside at all times. Every member must carry their institute ID card at the venue. Intentional damage to any part of the arena means disqualification.

Who Can Enter:

- Any school, college or university student in India. Students from different institutes may form a joint team. Extra members beyond four are ₹250 each and receive e-certificates.
