Russell Investments is hiring for the role of Finance & Accounting Graduate Trainee Apprentice!
Responsibilities of the Apprentice:
- Financial Operations Support: Gain hands-on exposure across the corporate accounting lifecycle. You will learn and assist with processes around vendor payments, client billing, revenue recognition, expense accruals, general ledger reconciliations, global consolidation, and the month-end closing process.
- Cross-Border and Cross-Functional Coordination: Interact with connected functions and international stakeholders under guidance to improve information flow, gain business context, and /or ensure accurate operational responses.
- Process Automation Assistance: Support finance transformation projects by helping to identify manual bottlenecks in financial workflows, ideation, documentation, and assisting with basic project tracking.
- System Upgrades & UAT: Assist in system upgrade efforts by participating in structured User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and basic data validation.
- Ad-Hoc Analytics & Tasks: Provide data-driven analytical support under supervision, helping to gather information and coordinate tasks across different finance streams.
- Audit & Compliance Documentation: Assist in compiling required files, organizing documentation, and supporting team members during internal and external global audit reviews.
Requirements:
- Education: Recent graduate with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA-Intermediate).
- Technical: Strong foundation in core accounting rules and principles with an eagerness to learn how they apply to real-world scenarios; foundational knowledge of MS Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Mindset: Agile, analytical, and comfortable learning both routine tasks and special projects. Must possess a disciplined approach to deadlines and team commitments, balanced with a fun-loving, collaborative attitude.
- Communication: Good verbal and written English skills, essential for learning how to collaborate with global onshore stakeholders.
