Opportunity brief
About the Company: NirveonX Omnicare Pvt. Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and driven App Developer Intern to join our dynamic team. We are a health-tech/ed-tech company dedicated to creating impactful solutions. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about mobile app development and eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment. Responsibilities: Build and ship features for our React Native app across Android (and iOS as we grow). Take a task from a one-line description to a working, tested feature — independently. Debug real issues: build failures, device-specific bugs, API integration problems. Integrate with our backend (Node.js APIs) and third-party services (auth, AI, payments). Test your work on real devices before calling it done, and fix what you find. Help prepare and ship release builds to the Play Store. Keep clean git history, write code that matches the existing style, and document what's non-obvious. Communicate progress clearly — what's done, what's blocked, what's next. Requirements: The mindset (this matters most): Self-starter: You can research, learn a new tool, and solve a problem without hand-holding. Finisher: You close tasks completely, not 80% and stuck; you push through the boring last 20%. Works independently in a loop — pick up a task, ship it, pick up the next, without waiting to be micromanaged. Intent and ownership: You actually understand why you're building something, and you care that it works for real users. Resourceful when blocked: You read the error, search, read docs, try things, and only ask after you've genuinely tried. Honest: You say when something failed or isn't done, instead of hiding it. The technical basics: Comfortable with JavaScript and React (React Native is a big plus, but a strong React dev who's willing to learn RN fast is welcome). Understands core mobile app concepts: components, state, navigation, API calls, async. Can use Git (branches, commits, pull/push) without breaking things. Familiar with reading and integrating REST APIs. Can set up and run a mobile dev environment (Android Studio, emulators/real devices, Gradle builds) — or is ready to learn it quickly. Bonus: Exposure to Android build/signing, Play Console, backend (Node.js), or AI/LLM APIs. You'll fit right in if you: Ship side projects for fun, not just for grades. Get satisfaction from an app actually working on a real phone. Prefer figuring things out over waiting to be spoon-fed. Can take blunt feedback and act on it. Nice to have (not required): Published an app or built something people actually used. Experience with any of: Firebase/auth, payments, WebViews, PDF generation, or AI integrations. Interest in health-tech / ed-tech.
