Opportunity brief
Continuum 2026 AI Prompt Battle is a competitive Generative AI challenge focused on prompt engineering, reasoning, creativity and the ability to produce high-quality outputs from AI systems.
Participants will be given a series of AI-based challenges requiring them to understand the task, design effective prompts, iterate strategically and achieve the best possible result. The competition is designed to test not only how participants use AI, but how well they think, structure instructions and control AI-generated outputs.

Competition Format
Participants will compete through a series of prompt-based challenges. Each challenge will present a specific objective or problem, and participants will have to develop and refine prompts to generate the required output.
Challenges may involve:
- Text generation and transformation
- Reasoning and problem-solving
- Creative generation
- Structured output generation
- AI-assisted analysis
- Instruction following and prompt optimization
Participants may iterate on their prompts where permitted. Evaluation will consider the effectiveness, accuracy, relevance, creativity and quality of the resulting output.
Rules
- Participants must use the AI tools/platforms specified by the organizers for each challenge.
- Prompts must be created and submitted by the participant/team during the competition unless a challenge explicitly permits otherwise.
- Participants must follow all challenge-specific instructions and submission requirements.
- Exploiting platform vulnerabilities, bypassing competition restrictions or using unauthorized methods is prohibited.
- Plagiarism, impersonation, submission of another participant's work or deliberate misrepresentation may lead to disqualification.
- External resources may be restricted for particular challenges; participants must follow the instructions announced by the organizers.
- The organizing team reserves the right to modify individual challenge conditions when required for fair competition.
- Decisions of the authorized jury/organizing team regarding evaluation and rankings will be final.
Eligibility
The competition is open to participants interested in Generative AI, prompt engineering, reasoning and emerging AI technologies. Participants from eligible colleges/universities may participate, subject to the final registration conditions published by the organizers.
