Event:
The objective is to "transform data into knowledge and knowledge into insight."
Cogentix, brought to you by Insightix, is more than just a data competition. It's a journey to transform raw data into valuable knowledge that can drive meaningful business decisions. Cogentix focuses on the practical application of data analytics, evaluating your solutions based on both accuracy and business impact.
How it works:
- Quiz: Test your foundational knowledge in a 20-question quiz on Unstop. Only qualifying teams will be advancing to case study round.
- Case Study: Apply your skills to a real-world business problem and propose innovative solutions. Only qualifying teams will be advancing to the grand finale.
- Grand Finale: Present your findings to experts and demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively. The Grand Finale will be conducted offline at IMT Hyderabad campus.
Datasets: The datasets of the competition would be provided to the qualifying teams.
Tools: Any tools of your choice: MS Excel, SAS, SPSS, Machine Learning, XL Miner, R, Tableau etc.
Team:
- All B-Schools and engineering colleges are eligible to enter the competition.
- There can only be 2-4 people in a team who are all from the same or different institution.
- Students from the first and second years of the same or different college can form a team.
- The members of the winning teams would each receive an equal share of the prize money. Once formed, a team cannot change its members.
General Rules and Guidelines:
- The panel's decision will be final and binding on all participants.
- The top two teams will be awarded.
- Evaluation will be based on originality of thought and the quality of supporting research.
- Applicable taxes will be deducted from the prize money as per regulations.
- Team Insightix reserves the right to disqualify any team found violating the rules or engaging in any form of malpractice.
