Opportunity brief
There's nothing quite like watching your own creation shoot into the sky. Lift-Off challenges you to design and build a water rocket that combines the right mix of pressure, aerodynamics, and precision to fly true. Whether you've built rockets before or this is your first launch, it's a hands-on shot at engineering something that actually takes off, and a real test of how far teamwork and technical instinct can carry you.
Rules and Regulations:
- This is a team event open to college students only.
- Further details are available after registering.
- The maximum team size is 4. The team members can also be from different colleges.
- The event comprises two rounds, and both rounds will take place in offline mode at IIT Kharagpur.
- The first round requires the participants to make a water rocket that can be launched at an angle to the horizontal by the launcher provided by Team NSSC or the launcher made by the team themselves, if and only if the launcher fits the required parameters.
- Further information about the rounds will be given at the venue of the competition itself.
- The specifications and the parameters of the launcher are given in the problem statement.
- The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes to the rules if necessary. In case of any dispute, the decision of Team NSSC will be considered final and binding.
- The organiser has the right to replace the launchers or disqualify a team if any malfunction or foul play is observed.
Generating Team ID and Participant IDs:
- Each participant will get a participant ID in the format 26-xxxxxx (26 followed by 6 digits). Please note that this does NOT constitute the team ID. Participant IDs of all concerned participants have to be submitted on Unstop, separated by commas.
- Go to Lift-Off (nssc.in/events/lift-off) and register as a team (if you haven't already). Once your team's registration is confirmed, your team will be assigned a team ID in the format T-xxxxxxx (T followed by 7 digits). This will be the ID associated with your team for the rest of the event, and this is the ID you need to enter under "Team ID" during registration on Unstop.
Please note that entering your team ID on Unstop is mandatory to be considered for the further selection process. Otherwise, you won't be eligible to qualify for the next rounds, irrespective of your performance in this round.
