About:
The Quantitative Code Conflux is a national coding and quantitative reasoning competition by Techfest, IIT Bombay, that equips participants to approach competitive programming and quantitative problems with rigor. The competition moves from an algorithmic and quantitative contest in Round 1 to a modular systems challenge in the Grand Finale, where teams combine independent components into a fully functional solution under time constraints. Bring your skills to life at Techfest, IIT Bombay, Asia's largest science and technology festival.
Structure:
- The competition will be held in two rounds, with Round 2 as an on-site final at Techfest, IIT Bombay.
- Eligibility: Open to all students with a valid institutional ID. Teams must strictly belong to the same undergraduate or postgraduate institution.
- Team size: Teams of 1 to 3 members.
Round 1 – Algorithmic & Quantitative Contest:
Teams attempt a single integrated online contest on HackerEarth, split into Algorithmic Programming and Quantitative Reasoning sections, over a 4-hour duration. Round 1 runs in 2 slots; each team competes in one slot and gets one attempt.
Round 2 – Grand Finale (Modular Systems Challenge):
The top 20 teams from each slot present at Techfest, IIT Bombay, solving a 10-module systems challenge that requires integrating independent components into one complete working solution over a 5-hour countdown.
Timeline:
- Registration closes - 10th October 2026
- Round 1, Slot 1 - 24th October 2026
- Round 1, Slot 2 - 25th October 2026
- Round 1 Qualifiers announced - 15th November 2026
- Grand Finale - 16th-18th December 2026
Rules:
- Each participant can register on the Techfest website only once, either individually or as part of a team (up to 3 members from the same institution). A participant cannot be part of more than one team; violation results in disqualification.
- Each participant or team receives a unique Techfest ID upon registration, to be used only once to register on HackerEarth. For teams, only one leader should register on HackerEarth using the team's ID; duplicate use disqualifies the entire team.
- Solutions must be the original work of the contestant/team. Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification.
- Finalists must present valid ID cards and provide a copy for verification.
- The decision of the organizers or judges shall be treated as final and binding on all. Techfest reserves the right to verify participant details.
- No responsibility will be held by Techfest, IIT Bombay for any late, lost, or misdirected entries.
