Opportunity brief

How the Game Works

Leverage Points (LP)

Leverage Points are the primary in-game currency.

Each nation begins with a different level of power and has a different maximum possible LP score. Final performance is therefore measured relative to each nation's own maximum potential, keeping the competition balanced across nations.

Secret Agendas

  • Every nation receives a confidential objective that can earn bonus LP.
  • Your Secret Agenda may force you to pursue an objective that conflicts with your nation's obvious interests, creating an additional layer of strategic decision-making.

Treaty Registry

  • If it isn't registered, it isn't real.
  • Only agreements submitted through the oAicial Treaty Registry are enforceable.
  • Promises made in private chats are cheap talk unless backed by a registered agreement.

PNN: PiE News Network

  • The PNN will deliver breaking developments throughout the game.
  • Expect market shocks, diplomatic leaks, surprise events, rival moves and changing conditions through Discord and Solaris Instagram Stories.

Day 1 Scoring

  • Game Performance: 50%
  • Diplomatic Cable: 50%

Advancement:

  • The winner of each world + the 4 highest-scoring runners-up advance.
  • 12 teams advance to Day 2.

Day 2 Scoring

  • Game Performance + Secret Agenda: 40%
  • Crisis Report: 60%
  • Top 3 teams from each world advance.
  • 6 finalists reach Day 3.

Day 3 Scoring

  • 2035 Accord: 30%
  • Summit Address: 40%
  • Press Conference: 30%

Participation

  • Team Size: 2 to 3 members
  • Maximum Teams: 48

The 48 teams will be divided into 8 worlds, with 6 nations in each world.

If registrations exceed the cap, participants will be shortlisted through a 20-minute entry quiz covering game theory and geoeconomics.

WHY PARTICIPATE? GAMBIT 2035 isn't a conventional case competition. You won't receive a case and simply present a solution. You will create the case yourself through your decisions.

You will have to:

  • Make decisions with incomplete information
  • Negotiate with competing interests
  • Build and break alliances
  • Understand incentives
  • React to unexpected shocks
  • Quantify economic consequences
  • Read your rivals
  • Apply game theory in real time
  • Defend your decisions under pressure

In GAMBIT 2035, there is no fixed solution. There is only the move you make and the world it creates. Enter the game. Shape the world.
