About the Opportunity: IEEE Eu-Reka'26 is an exciting online innovation challenge hosted by IEEE, Pune Section. This competition is designed for teams passionate about Applied Research, offering a platform to showcase their ingenuity and problem-solving capabilities. Participants will engage in a series of rigorous rounds, culminating in a grand finale. Themes/Problem Statements: While exact problems will be revealed to participants, this event focuses on areas related to Applied Research : Participants will be required to develop a research paper (4–6 pages in IEEE format) based on their chosen problem statement. The challenge also involves creating educational materials such as PPTs, demos, or models. Engagement with school students through visits and feedback forms is a key component. Eligibility and Registration: This is a team participation event. Competition Structure: The structure for this innovation challenge is as follows: Round 1: Elimination Round (Super 30) : This is a submission-based evaluation where teams present their complete project work, including research papers, educational materials, school visit reports, and summary videos. The top 30 teams will advance. Round 2: Selection Round (Top 15) : A virtual presentation round where the Super 30 teams showcase their work to a panel of judges. Evaluation includes innovation, presentation clarity, communication skills, and a carry-forward score from Round 1. The top 15 teams will be selected as finalists. Valedictory Ceremony/Finale in Pune – Selected Top 15 teams must be present : The grand conclusion of the competition, celebrating innovation and announcing the winning teams. This in-person event will feature award ceremonies and closing remarks from distinguished guests.
