Opportunity brief

Objective: Identify innovators and researchers. Foster innovative solutions and digital advancements for sustainable mobility. Focus on enhancing mass mobility, reducing environmental impact, improving road safety, and reducing accidents/fatalities. Encourage ideas in connectivity, synthetic fuels, clean technologies, electrification, innovative brake systems, and inclusive mobility for persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and women. Problem Areas & Statements: Road Hazard Detection for Safer Mobility: Challenge: High accident rates in rural and semi-urban India due to potholes, uneven roads, and waterlogged craters. Goal: Develop a cost-effective Road Hazard Intelligence System (RHIS) integrating sensors, smartphones, cameras, telematics, ADAS, and government platforms. Lightweight Recycled & Bio-Based Automotive Materials: Challenge: Automotive manufacturing is resource- and emission-intensive. Goal: Create automotive-grade lightweight materials using recycled metals and bio-based composites to reduce emissions. Assistive Mobility for Vulnerable Populations: Challenge: Public mobility inaccessible for people with cognitive disabilities, autism, and elderly. Goal: Develop a mobility assistant for safe, independent use by these populations. EV Charging Solutions for Rural & Semi-Urban Areas: Challenge: Uneven electricity access and unreliable grids limit EV adoption. Goal: Create scalable, renewable energy-powered, intelligence-enabled EV charging infrastructure. Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) Safety & Usability: Challenge: Pedestrians and cyclists face high fatality risk; limited infrastructure. Goal: Develop cost-effective solutions to improve walking/cycling safety without large infrastructure investment. Program Structure & Rounds: Round 1 – Application Submission (Online) Submit defined solution approach via official link. No prototype required. Deadline: 31 January 2026. Round 2 – Phase 1: Screening & Bootcamps (4 Weeks) Multi-level screening. Expert mentorship sessions. Prototype development plan creation. Round 3 – Phase 2: Prototyping & Incubation (12 Weeks) Deep mentorship with industry leaders. Access to advanced labs and infrastructure. Funding: Prototyping grants up to ₹10 Lakhs (approval-based). Opportunity to showcase innovations to investors and corporates at Demo Day. Eligibility: Early-stage startups, innovators, researchers, and teams. Open to working professionals and students (min. age 18). Individuals or teams eligible. Startup registration not required initially, but mandatory for receiving financial support. Rewards & Incentives: Funding: Prototyping grants up to ₹10 Lakhs. Mentorship: Guidance from Bosch experts, industry leaders, and domain specialists.
