Treasure Restoration

Find the forgotten. Fuse the familiar. Create the future.

What if yesterday's failed products could become tomorrow's breakthrough innovations?

Every discontinued product has a story, and every unsuccessful idea holds the possibility of a comeback. Treasure Restoration challenges you to uncover that hidden potential, combine forgotten products, and transform them into innovative concepts with real market potential.

This is your opportunity to think creatively, solve problems, and prove that a product's story doesn't have to end when it leaves the market.

Round 1: The Quiz

Test your analytical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through set of questions:

Qualifying participants will advance to the next round.

Round 2: The Product Redesign Challenge

One forgotten product. One fresh idea. A second chance at success.

Choose any one legacy/commercially matured tech innovation (for eg: Pendrive, Landline telephone, CD's, Cassette, etc) of your choice and redesign it into an innovative product concept that offers a unique value proposition and demonstrates real market demand. But there's a twist: you must choose one target age group and consumer archetype that you would like to target from the below options given below while redesigning your product.

Target Age Group:

Option 1: Gen Z  (aged 14-29 years) Option 2: Gen X  (aged 46-61 years)

Target Consumer Archetype:

Option 1: Value Seekers- those that look for maximum benefits at a reasonable price. Option 2: Premium Spenders- those that are willing to pay more for quality, experience and innovation.

Your submission: PPT deck of up to 5 slides

Submit your PowerPoint deck on Unstop. Make every slide count!

  • Slide 1: Title slide: Your new product's name, logo, and tagline.
  • Slide 2: The Legacy & The Opportunity -  Identify the original technology and it's purpose, highlighting its limitations, and explain the opportunity to reinvent it for today's market.
  • Slide 3: The Product Reimagined - Showcase the redesigned product through a sketch, digital mockup, 3D render or AI-generated visual.Highlight its key features and technological innovations.Explain its unique selling proposition.
  • Slide 4: Target Audience & Commercial Feasibility-  Identify your intended customers, their needs, and the problem your product solves and the pricing strategy. Propose a price and explain why it is reasonable.
  • Slide 5: Go To Market Strategy for your product.

Your concept will be evaluated on creativity, relevance to the condition chosen, customer value, feasibility, pricing, and marketing potential. The top teams will qualify for Round 3.

Round 3: The Restoration Pitch

You've built the idea. Now, test whether people believe in it.

Shortlisted teams must submit a 30-60 second AI-generated advertisement demonstrating the product concept, its key benefits, and its appeal to the target audience.

This round will assess:

Creativity: Present your redesigned product in an original and memorable way.

Understand Your Audience: Tailor your advertisement to the chosen age group and consumer archetype.

Tell a Compelling Story: Capture attention and communicate your message effectively with AI-generated advertisement.

Important Guidelines:

  • Follow the condition assigned to your team throughout Round 2.
  • The Round 2 PPT must contain no more than 5 slides.
  • The Round 3 video must be 30-60 seconds long.
