As an early-stage startup, interns get the opportunity to contribute directly to real products, processes, and company growth.

Role Overview

We are looking for a curious, analytical, and user-focused Product Manager Intern to help drive the continuous development and improvement of the GigsForMe platform.

You will work closely with the Founder, UI/UX designers, and development team to identify product opportunities, understand user needs, define requirements, prioritize features, and help move ideas from concept to execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct user research to understand user needs and pain points.
  • Gather and organize feedback from freelancers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct competitor and market research.
  • Identify opportunities for improving the GigsForMe experience.
  • Assist in defining product goals and priorities.
  • Help maintain and improve the product roadmap.
  • Break product initiatives into features and requirements.
  • Prioritize features based on user impact, business value, and technical feasibility.
  • Write product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Define user flows and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers.
  • Track feature progress from concept to release.
  • Participate in product discussions, sprint planning, and reviews.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and feature validation.
  • Identify usability issues, bugs, and product gaps.
  • Analyze product metrics and user behaviour.
  • Prepare basic product reports and insights.
  • Work cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, HR, Marketing, and Leadership.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Design, Economics, Management, or a related field.
  • Freshers are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interest in product management, technology, startups, and user-centered products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of basic product development concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to understand problems from the user's perspective.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to take ownership and work with limited hand-holding.

Good to Have — Not Mandatory

  • Startup, college project, or personal product experience.
  • Familiarity with Notion, Jira, Trello, Linear, or similar tools.
  • Basic UI/UX and Figma knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum.
  • Basic product analytics knowledge.
  • Understanding of APIs and software development concepts.
  • User interview or survey experience.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products.
  • Interest in freelancing marketplaces, creator economy, or future-of-work platforms.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience managing and improving a real AI-powered startup product.
  • Exposure to the complete product lifecycle — discovery → planning → execution → iteration.
  • Direct mentorship and collaboration with the Founder and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with real user feedback and business priorities.
  • Opportunity to build a strong product portfolio.
  • Internship Certificate upon successful completion.
  • Performance-Based Letter of Recommendation.
  • Priority consideration for future paid opportunities as GigsForMe grows.

Compensation
