GE Healthcare is hiring for the role of Trainee Engineer!

Responsibilities of the Candidate:

- Support Manufacturing Process Engineers in executing continuous improvement projects across the manufacturing line. - Monitor manufacturing defects, internal yields, and quality performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities. - Assist in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste. - Participate in Root Cause Analysis for manufacturing defects, non-conformances (NC), and customer quality issues under the guidance of senior engineers. - Support Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, including documentation and follow-up actions. - Assist in maintaining compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) procedures and manufacturing standards. - Support Validation and Verification (V&V) activities for manufacturing processes and equipment. - Help prepare and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training materials. - Coordinate equipment calibration activities and maintain calibration records. - Assist in incoming inspection planning and quality documentation. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production to support daily manufacturing operations. - Participate in production line troubleshooting and support initiatives to improve equipment uptime and manufacturing efficiency. - Follow Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and contribute to a safe working environment.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering, , or a related engineering discipline. - Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant internship or industrial experience. - Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or quality concepts through academic projects or internships is preferred. - Good analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment on a 6-day work week.

Desired Characteristics:

- Internship or academic project experience in manufacturing, production, or quality engineering. - Exposure to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Lean, or Kaizen methodologies. - Basic understanding of Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement tools. - Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and documentation. - Positive attitude with strong ownership and collaboration skills.
