Responsibilities of the Candidate:

Lead a large team of energy data analysts (with between 1 to 5 years of experience)
Responsible for ensuring the completion and delivery of accurate updates of specific fundamental data work products as part of PLEXOS and Aurora dataset development
Responsible for leading power markets research, analyzing and manipulating data and processing data for input into power market models
Benchmarking etc. end-to-end process of creation and upgrading of production cost models
Responsible for maintaining large databases of energy related data. Data sources include data-providers, industry publications, regulatory agencies and web research.
Running PLEXOS and/or Aurora and interpreting output model results and energy balances
Comparing models and reviewing preliminary forecast output results for  inconsistencies to ensure deliveries meet product scopes and specifications
Communicate to IDC Analyst team about market modelling best practices and implementing improvements to research and model development

Requirements:

Problem solving and interpretation of market models and ability to detect errors and omissions
Troubleshoot market models and intermediate work products for errors, omissions, and improvements.
Reporting to Director of Datasets
This role oversees production of energy market fundamental model components and standalone models working out of our Pune office using PLEXOS and Aurora
