Event Overview:

• An online innovation challenge conducted under ISSHT 2026.
• Participants will develop innovative, sustainable, inclusive, ethical, and responsible solutions to real-world challenges using ECE and emerging technologies.
• Relevant technologies include AI, ML, IoT, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communication, 5G/6G, Signal Processing, VLSI, Sensors, Robotics, Renewable Energy, and other ECE technologies.
• Solutions should demonstrate technological innovation while considering sustainability, accessibility, inclusivity, ethics, and social responsibility.

Eligibility:

• Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students participating in ISSHT 2026.
• Students from relevant engineering disciplines may participate.
• Participants must comply with the symposium registration guidelines.
• The proposed solution must have significant relevance to ECE or related emerging technologies.

Team Formation:

• Each team must have 2–3 members.
• Interdisciplinary teams are allowed.
• Each participant can participate in only one team.
• One member must be designated as the Team Leader.
• The Team Leader will handle communication with the organizers.
• All team members must actively contribute to the solution and presentation.

Competition Structure:

Round 1 – Online Idea Submission:

• Submit an abstract, concept note, or presentation.
• Submission must include the Problem Statement, Proposed Solution, Target Users or Beneficiaries, Technology or Engineering Approach, Innovation and Uniqueness, Expected Impact, Technical Feasibility, Scalability, and Sustainability, Inclusivity and Responsible Technology Considerations.
• Maximum 500 words or 5 presentation slides.

Round 2 – Online Presentation And Evaluation:

• Selected teams will present their solutions online.
• Each team will receive approximately 5–7 minutes.
• Presentations may include PowerPoint presentations, software demonstrations, circuit simulations, prototype videos, hardware demonstrations through video, working models, or concept demonstrations.
• The jury may ask questions regarding technical feasibility, originality, implementation, and practical application.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Innovation and Creativity – 30%.
• Feasibility and Technical Implementation – 30%.
• Societal Impact and Scalability – 20%.
• Sustainability, Inclusivity and Responsible Technology – 20%.

Submission Requirements:

• Submissions must be original work.
• Each team may submit only one idea.
• Teams must demonstrate their technical understanding and contribution.
• AI tools may be used during development, but originality and clarity of thought will be evaluated.
• All required materials must be submitted within the specified deadline.

Rules And Regulations:

• Participants must maintain professional decorum throughout the online event.
• Teams must join the presentation session at their scheduled time.
• Participants are responsible for a stable internet connection and necessary presentation facilities.
• Presentation and demonstration materials should be ready before the scheduled slot.
• Technical issues must be immediately reported to the event coordinators.
• Organizers may modify the event schedule in unavoidable circumstances or due to technical difficulties.
• Participants must follow instructions from the event coordinators and jury.
• The decision of the jury and organizers will be final and binding.

Prize Structure:

• First Prize: ₹5,000 + Certificate.
• Second Prize: ₹3,000 + Certificate.
• Third Prize: ₹1,000Certificate.
• E-Certificates of participation will be awarded to eligible participants according to ISSHT 2026 guidelines.

Timeline:

• (28/09/2026): Abstract submission deadline.
• ​(05/10/2026): Intimation of the final shortlisted teams.
