HeritageVastra invites content creators, video editors, storytellers, marketers, and creative minds from across India to rethink how Indian heritage is presented to the next generation.
India's craft traditions carry generations of knowledge, identity, craftsmanship, community, and culture. Yet many of these stories remain invisible in the digital world.
We want to change that.
HeritageVastra is building a marketplace where people can discover heritage products, crafts, makers, and traditions from across India on one platform.
This challenge asks you to take one heritage craftman story and make people care about it in 15–30 seconds.
"We are not looking for the most expensive camera. We are not looking for the most complicated edit. We are looking for the strongest idea."
The Challenge:
Create one original 15–30 second vertical video inspired by an Indian craft, textile tradition, artisan, culture, tradition, region, heritage product, or the larger idea of preserving and rediscovering Indian heritage.
Your video should be designed for platforms such as:

- Short-form social media
The objective is simple: "Stop the scroll. Create curiosity. Tell a story. Make heritage relevant."
Candidate Prompts:
1. The Craft Story: One Country. Thousands Of Traditions:
Choose an Indian craft or textile tradition and make someone want to know more about it.
2. The Maker Story:
Choose an Indian craft or textile tradition and tell the story of the people behind it.
"YOU KNOW THE PRODUCT. BUT DO YOU KNOW THE HANDS BEHIND IT?"
3. The India Story: One Country. Thousands Of Traditions:
Show how the heritage of one Indian state or region can become relevant, surprising, or interesting to today's generation.
4. Heritage × Technology: "Centuries-Old Craft. A New Digital Future.":
Show how technology, digital commerce, storytelling, virtual experiences, or marketplaces can help preserve and grow Indian heritage.
Choose one prompt or interpret the theme through your own original concept, provided it clearly connects to Indian heritage, craftsmanship, makers, or regional traditions.

Rules & Guidelines:
- Open to participants between 18 and 26 years of age. - Videos must be between 15 and 30 seconds long. - Participants may post their video on Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, or LinkedIn using #HeritageVastra and #HVSCROLLSTOPPER in the caption. This is completely optional; however, social media engagement may contribute to consideration for the People's Choice Award. - Use only copyright-free music. Heritage Vastra will not be liable for any copyrighted music used in submissions. - The video must be originally created by the participant. - AI-generated videos, deepfakes, synthetic media, voice cloning, or technologies that materially alter your appearance, identity, likeness, or voice are not permitted. - Selection will be based on content quality, originality, relevance, presentation, and compliance with the campaign requirements. - Entries must comply with applicable laws, platform guidelines, and third-party rights. - Entries containing offensive, unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate content may be removed or disqualified. - Eligibility does not guarantee selection. The decision of the Heritage Vastra Team will be final and binding. - Heritage Vastra reserves the right to seek clarification or disqualify entries that do not comply with these guidelines.
