ARVEXIS – CASE STUDY PRESENTATION

An Event under the International Symposium on Humanizing Technology

Organized by:

Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science

Skylark Association

Theme: AI in Climate Resilience

The International Symposium on Humanizing Technology, organized by the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Skylark Association, brings together students, researchers, innovators, and technology enthusiasts to explore how emerging technologies can be applied to address real-world challenges and create meaningful impact for society.

As one of the featured events of the symposium, ARVEXIS – Case Study Presentation provides students with a platform to explore real-world challenges related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a special focus on AI in Climate Resilience.

The event challenges participants to move beyond theoretical knowledge and explore how Artificial Intelligence and emerging technologies can be used to understand, analyze, and address pressing climate-related challenges.

Participants will receive or select a real-world case study and analyze the problem, its causes, affected stakeholders, existing challenges, and the key issue that needs to be addressed. Based on their analysis, they will develop an innovative, practical, and technology-driven solution and present their idea before a jury.

Through ARVEXIS, participants will have the opportunity to combine research, analytical thinking, creativity, technology, problem-solving, and presentation skills to develop solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and climate-resilient future.

ARVEXIS:

Climate change presents complex challenges that require innovative and human-centered solutions. Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Remote Sensing, IoT, and other emerging technologies can play a significant role in understanding climate risks and developing smarter solutions.

ARVEXIS encourages participants to think beyond technology itself and ask:

"How can we humanize technology to solve real-world climate challenges?"

Participants are encouraged to identify meaningful problems, understand their real-world impact, and transform their ideas into feasible, scalable, and impactful solutions.

Objectives

- Encourage creative and analytical problem-solving. - Develop innovative solutions for real-world SDG challenges. - Explore the application of AI and emerging technologies in climate resilience. - Promote interdisciplinary collaboration and teamwork. - Encourage practical application of technological knowledge. - Improve students' research, presentation, and decision-making skills. - Promote technology-driven solutions with meaningful societal and environmental impact.

Team Formation

- Individual participation or teams of 1–2 members. - One member must be designated as the Team Leader.

Competition Rounds

Round 1 – Case Study Analysis

Participants will receive or select a real-world case study based on an SDG-related climate challenge.

They will analyze:

- The core problem - Root causes - Affected stakeholders - Existing challenges and limitations - The key issue requiring intervention

Participants will be shortlisted based on the quality and depth of their analysis.

Round 2 – Solution Development & Presentation

Shortlisted participants will develop an innovative and practical solution for the identified problem.

Participants must prepare a 5-slide PPT covering:

- Problem – What is the challenge? - SDG Connection – Which SDG does it address? - Proposed Solution – What is your idea? - Technology Used – How will AI/emerging technology help? - Feasibility & Expected Impact – Can it be implemented and what difference will it make?

Round 3 – Final Pitch & Q&A

Shortlisted finalists will present their case study and proposed solution online before the jury.

⏱️ Pitch Duration: 5–7 minutes Q&A: 3–5 minutes

The final winners will be selected based on their analysis, innovation, feasibility, impact, SDG alignment, and presentation.
