Opportunity brief
Overview:
- Simulation Only: Corporate Stocks is a live online stock-market simulation competition conducted via a virtual stock-simulation application or platform. It uses simulated trading only and does not involve real-money investment.
- Trading Mechanisms: Participants may execute any permitted trading actions on the platform, including buying, selling, short selling, and other available mechanisms. Legitimate trading strategies are unrestricted, and participants can trade repeatedly until the market closes at 3:00 PM.
- Internet Usage: As the competition is fully remote, participants are free to use online information and external resources without restriction.
- Platform: The exact stock-simulation app or platform will be communicated separately by the organizers ahead of the event.
Winner Criteria & Tie-Breaker:
- Primary Ranking Criterion: The participant with the highest final profit recorded on the simulation platform at the official 3:00 PM market close will rank first.
- Note: Profit is the sole decisive criterion. The number of trades executed or the number of companies held is not used as a primary criterion.
- Tie-Breaker Rule: If two or more participants finish with the exact same final profit, the participant who holds positions in the lower number of companies will rank higher.
