Overview
EPOCH 1.0 — Ideas Outlive Apocalypses
Build. Solve. Shape the Next Era.
EPOCH 1.0 is an intensive, 12-hour overnight hackathon that brings together student innovators, developers, designers and problem-solvers to build impactful solutions to real-world challenges.
Participants will work in teams, develop their ideas under time constraints, receive guidance from mentors and present their final solutions to a panel of judges.
- Date: 2nd October 2026 – 3rd October 2026
- Timing: 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM
- Venue: K. J. Somaiya Institute of Technology, Sion
What to Expect

Tracks

The hackathon features 4 technology tracks, with multiple problem statements released under each track. Participants will first propose their approach to a problem statement of their choice and, if shortlisted, develop their solution during the hackathon.
Eligibility & Team Formation
- Team size: 2–4 members
- Inter-specialisation teams are allowed, enabling students from different branches/specialisations to collaborate.
- Inter-college teams are not permitted.
- Teams must consist of students from the same college/institution.
- Students from colleges other than the organising institution are also welcome to participate, provided all members of their team belong to the same college.
Registration Fees (for Shortlisted Teams)
- ₹200 – KJSIT Students (No inter-college teams)
- ₹300 – Other Colleges (All team members must belong to the same college)

Participation certificates will be provided.
The top 20 teams will be shortlisted based on the quality and feasibility of their proposed solution, along with the submitted team resumes. Only selected teams will move forward to the next stage, and further instructions will be shared with them via email.
