Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Scraping & Data Entry Intern who can help us collect, organize, verify, and maintain accurate information about destinations, experiences, vendors, pricing, and travel-related data.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with large amounts of information, and interested in learning how data supports a growing travel-tech startup.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and collect data from websites, directories, social media, and other publicly available sources.
- Scrape and compile information about tourism experiences, destinations, activities, and service providers.
- Enter and organize data accurately in Excel, Google Sheets, or internal systems.
- Collect information such as vendor details, experience descriptions, pricing, locations, timings, contact information, and availability.
- Verify data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify duplicate, outdated, or incorrect information and update records accordingly.
- Maintain structured databases and spreadsheets.
- Support the operations and product teams with data-related tasks.
- Follow predefined data formats and maintain data quality standards.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Google Sheets.
- Good internet research skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle repetitive tasks consistently.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic understanding of web browsing and online data collection.
- Knowledge of data scraping tools or techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Google Sheets, Excel, or browser-based scraping tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote startup environment.
